I first heard of Ms. Reisz on twitter.  I started following her.  I liked her personality.  She has this saucy spunk that is refreshing and entertaining.  At the time I wasn't reading erotica so I put off reading her novels.  If you are looking for gratuitous sex, The Original Sinners Series is not for you.You also must be very open minded.  If kink and/or same sex intercourse are not your reading tastes then do not read these.  I will say this for clarity I am a strait woman with rather vanilla tastes.  I also believe two things: as long as its consensual, who am I to judge and a good story is a good story.

The Siren (Book 1) absolutely blew me away.  So much so that the short tweet I sent Ms. Reisz was all I could say.  It is a hauntingly beautiful horror story.  I tell you this because if you meet the criteria above you really should read this book.  Also, The Angel wont be nearly as enjoyable if you don't get the background for The Siren.

Like The Siren, there is one story told like two.  The Angel is about so many things but, I guess, most would say this is Griffin's and Mick's story.  That is true in that we do get to witness them become a team.  In the Angel we also get to learn more about Father S.'s (I feel that I don't know him well enough to call him anything other than that) past.  We also have his and Nora's continuing arc.  We also learn more about Wesley.  I feel rather foolish that I didn't see that coming.

I also wish to note that I love how Ms. Reisz explains the BDSM culture in a matter-of-fact way that makes it feel just like any other type of sex.  Some people prefer missionary and some people prefer to be flogged.

The last few chapters were masterful.  The ending was magnificent.  I laughed, cried (and I don't have PMS), cheered and mourned.  I don't know what is going to happen with Nora and her men.  I can't even decide which one she should end up with.  They are so very different but somehow alike.

I think this is a great book and a great series.  I recommend it greatly.
